Kendall + Kylie

In its multi-phase launch, kendall-kylie.com went from a landing page with a heavy focus on their social presence, a store locator and a custom lookbook feature to an all encompassing experience that later included an online shopping destination managed over Shopify.

For the initial stage of development, I led the creation of the child-theme that would serve as the custom extension to the original theme’s base styles. The child-theme enabled Manufactur to provide more robust settings in the creation of the featured call-to-action sliders, masonry-block navigation, store locator map, and instagram grid.

More importantly, at the forefront of this customization was the lookbook feature of the site. The lookbook not only allowed for a glimpse into the curated styles of the collection, but also provided a more detailed lightbox that made room for product names, links, SKUs and other details that would allow the public to seek out these products from featured retailers, such as Nordstrom.

Over the final phase that took place several months following the launch of their WordPress destination, I oversaw the development of the Kendall + Kylie Shopify store. Despite being on a separate platform, the shop served as an extension to their overall aesthetic as featured on the WordPress site built months prior. The shop was to be launched in tandem with Kendall + Kylie’s debut at New York Fashion Week 2016, along with various digital marketing initiatives that came along with that event. Along with launching the eCommerce destination, I was tasked with creating a temporary landing page that would serve a public live feed of their NYFW event.
